Stay in an Overwater Bungalow for less

Can you imagine waking up to this view everyday? We were blessed enough to do so, during our stay in Moorea, Tahiti! It cost a whole lot less than you might think.

Search “overwater bungalow Tahiti” and you’ll see many options that start at extremely high prices. You could certainly blow some serious dough on lodging. We are so glad we found this gem of a place! While our bungalow wasn’t mega luxury resort quality, I would argue that it had one of the most stunning views in Moorea. On our last morning we saw the most beautiful, intense rainbow. We spent most of our time out on deck (equipped with a dining table, freshwater shower and stairs leading into the water). The misty mountains were a sight to wake up to every morning. We kayaked in the calm waters daily. Husband even caught a fish off the deck! We waved at boat captains and even saw some familiar faces! We could see the pineapple fields across the way and watched as the locals practiced racing their canoes. The stars at night were so dazzling before a background of jagged peaks.

My family truly enjoyed staying here- you will be hard pressed to find overwater lodging for 5 people at this amazing price, anywhere. The bungalow cost us under $200/night! In fact, you can stay here for as low as $80 a night in a bay view room. The rooms were large and stocked with everything we needed to self cater. The bedrooms were air conditioned and comfortable. There are 6 overwater bungalows to choose from.

Book your stay Aimeo Lodge early because once word gets out, it will start to fill up quick! Love snorkeling? Check out our stay on Sunset Beach on the other side of the island.
